The federal government passed legislation to reopen the government, but Hemp took a residual hit in the bill.
The bill closes a loophole that allowed products to derive THC from hemp legally, and the ban on most products is set to go into effect November of next year.

The law will prohibit products containing more than 0.4 milligrams of THC per container starting in 2026.
In Connecticut, both marijuana and Hemp are legal, but the potential change at the federal level has created confusion.
“This is the final store we are doing the final touches as we speak, Derby is doing well, New Haven is going under construction soon,” David Salinas said as he prepares to open his Hartford location for “Hi People.”
