Edinburg officials are working to resolve two long-standing property and infrastructure issues, including a stalled townhouse development and a long-used but unrecorded driveway across the town’s former reservoir property off Route 800.

Mayor Dan Harshman said the Madison Village subdivision, located on the south end of town, was only about 40% complete when the developer stopped construction in 2007–08. The roads and sidewalks were never accepted into the VDOT state maintenance program as required by town ordinances, leaving them as private roads maintained by the contractor and the homeowners association for nearly two decades.
