Hazardous, endocrine-disrupting “forever chemicals” have been pervasive in everyday American households since the 1940s, when manufacturers introduced thousands of synthetic chemicals into various industrial and consumer products.

Boulder-based environmental journalist Sharon Udasin has spent years investigating the harm these chemicals have had on Americans; her research culminating in a new investigative book, “Poisoning the Well: How Forever Chemicals Contaminated America.” Udasin will share insight into her book at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Longmont Public Library, 409 4th Ave.
