A frontrunner has emerged in the LSU coaching search.
Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin , who is in the midst of leading the Rebels to a potential College Football Playoff appearance next month, has become the central focus of LSU’s coaching search, sources told The Advocate on Monday.
The school also sent a private plane to pick up Kiffin’s family in Oxford, Mississippi, on Monday so they could fly to Baton Rouge and tour the city the same day.
LSU isn’t the only school interested in Kiffin’s services. He’s already reportedly a top target for Florida’s open job, and his family reportedly visited Gainesville, Florida, on Sunday. Kiffin could also stay at Ole Miss, which is eager to retain a coach whose led the Rebels to three consecutive 10-win seasons for the first time in program histo
