TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The Tucson area could be getting another Costco.

During its Tuesday meeting, the Tucson City Council will consider a sales tax economic development incentive for the company. The incentive provides “up to a 100% reimbursement of construction sales tax to qualifying expenses such as the project’s public infrastructure improvements.”

According to documents from the city, the store would be built at 9748 Old Vail Road, which is near the Tractor Supply Co. off Houghton.

Construction could begin in January 2027 and be done by June-September of that same year.

There could be around 173 full-time and 147 part-time employees. The average salary for the full-timers would be $55,680, while part-timers would average $26,000.
