Collingwood speedster Beau McCreery has been forced off the track until at least late January — after undergoing foot surgery in the off-season.

McCreery carried the foot issue through Collingwood’s 2025 finals campaign, with the club ultimately deciding to put him under the knife in the last fortnight to have him fit for Opening Round.

It leaves the forward with a significantly shortened pre-season.

If his recovery goes to plan, he’ll only have 5-6 weeks to regain and prove his fitness before Collingwood’s first match of the season against St Kilda on March 8.

It comes following an injury-interrupted year for the 24-year-old, who only managed 19 games due to soft-issue problems.
