Service on Metra’s Union Pacific-West line was halted Monday after a train struck a pedestrian in Chicago.
According to officials, trains on the UP-West line are halted in both directions near Kedzie as of 7 p.m. after a pedestrian was hit.
Train No. 63, scheduled to depart Ogilvie Transportation Center at 7 p.m., will not operate. Train No. 65 is expected to operate at 7:45 p.m.
The UP-West line provides service to numerous suburbs, including Villa Park, Glen Ellyn, Wheaton, West Chicago and Geneva before terminating in Elburn.
It is unclear when service will resume, and there’s no update on the condition of the individual struck.
