ATTICA, Ind. — A motorcyclist who was seen traveling over 100 mph was killed in a crash in Fountain County Sunday.
According to Indiana State Police, the motorcyclist was clocked on a trooper's radar going over 100 mph on U.S. 41 northbound near County Road 650 North around 3:45 p.m. Sunday. The speed limit in the area is 55 mph.
The trooper made a U-turn in an attempt to stop the motorcyclist, according to ISP, but lost sight of the motorcycle as he searched the area. The trooper notified local police departments, who joined the search for the motorcycle. The motorcyclist then passed two Attica police officers, who were traveling south on U.S. 41 out of the town, sideswiping the second officer's vehicle.
