The Dallas Cowboys are planning to wear a helmet decal for the rest of the season to honor Marshawn Kneeland, who died in what Frisco police have described as a "possible suicide".
The Cowboys gave the NFL world a first look at that sticker ahead of their Week 11 "Monday Night Football" game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
"For 94," the team wrote in a social media post showing the decal as it appears on the helmet.
Kneeland wore the No. 94 jersey for the Cowboys after being selected in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
The helmet decal was one of the many tributes planned by the Cowboys in honor of Kneeland in the team's first game since his death. Dallas' players are also wearing a t-shirt featuring a portrait of Kneeland during warm-ups ahead of their game against the Raiders.
The Cowboys also reserved a locker for Kneeland at Allegiant Stadium, hanging up his No. 94 jersey in the visiting locker room.
The Raiders joined the Cowboys in paying tribute to Kneeland by wearing warm-up shirts that have the number for the suicide hotline – 988- written on the back.
The Raiders are also planning to observe a moment of silence for Kneeland before the contest.
