Shandaken, N.Y. — An apparent murder-suicide in a home on Highview Road is under investigation by state police and the Shandaken Police Department.
At about 7:29 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, troopers responded to a report of two individuals who “were unconscious and unresponsive” at a Highview Road residence, state police said in a press release.
Responding troopers, along with Shandaken police, entered the residence and found a woman dead from a gunshot wound. She was later identified as Deborah A. Warren, 68, of Phoenicia.
Mark P. Braman, 69, also of Phoenicia, was also in the room and had died from an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
Police did not indicate the nature of the relationship, if any, between Warren and Braman.
