PORTALES, N.M. (KFDA) - Eastern New Mexico University announced today it has relieved Kelley Lee of his head coaching duties for the football team, effective immediately, after three seasons.
Lee finished with an 11-22 record during his tenure and posted a 3-8 record for the second straight year. In Lone Star Conference play, his teams won six games and lost 20 over the three-year span.
ENMU Director of Athletics Kevin Fite said the decision came after evaluating the program’s direction.
Lee has coached at both the high school and collegiate levels. This was his second stint as head football coach at ENMU, having previously coached for four seasons during his first tenure.
