The Met Office has at least one weather warning in place until Friday this week, including alerts for snow, as temperatures are set to plunge to approximately -2C
Snow is forecast to fall as far south as Oxfordshire today as the cold snap continues.
The Met Office has listed several areas subject to weather warnings, including those for snow , as it anticipates as much as eight inches to fall in around two days . The wintry weather will cause treacherous driving conditions all week as some roads, pavements and cycle paths will be untreated.
"Snow showers may lead to disruption... Outbreaks of rain and hill snow, falling on subzero surfaces, could lead to some icy conditions," the Met Office website reads. It adds the following hazards are likely from as early as today;
