The Met Office has given an updated snow forecast as a number of severe weather warnings have been issued across the country.
The weather agency has issued snow and ice warnings across parts of Scotland and northern England from Monday (November 17) through to Thursday (November 20).
Forecasters have said temperatures could drop to as low as -10C in some areas this weekend, with health bosses issuing cold health alerts across England.
Amber alerts are in place in the North West, North East and Yorkshire and The Humber, with yellow cold health alerts covering the rest of England. The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has warned that 'significant impacts' to health services are likely.
