Huntsville Police arrested a woman on murder charges following an investigation into a crash on Bailey Cove Road that claimed the life of a 13-year-old .

The wreck happened around 3:30 p.m. Aug. 5 at Bailey Cove Road and Green Mountain Road. Investigators say Kallel Fox, a Mountain Gap eighth grader, was legally crossing the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle. Fox did not survive his injuries.

Sara Brianne Oleson, 33, of Huntsville, is charged with reckless murder. Huntsville Police say Oleson remained at the scene after the wreck. Investigators say they recovered evidence from the vehicle that included substances known to cause impairment. Toxicology tests were also conducted as part of the investigation which police said took several month to review.
