JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KY3) -The wait is almost over. Missourians will soon be hedging their bets on the Chiefs, Cardinals, and so many more teams.

In just two weeks, Missouri sports betting will be live. But starting Monday, Missourians can create accounts on nine approved mobile betting platforms.

Missouri awarded 17 sports betting licenses; nine of those are online platforms that you can sign up for now. Missourians voted to legalize sports betting in November 2024 with just barely enough votes.

Jan Zimmerman with the Missouri Gaming Commission said she and her team have been hard at work implementing the new sports betting rules.

“When the voters approved last November, there was certainly a significant amount of the population that thought we could go live like that day,” Zimmerman
