ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - On Monday night, an event was held in Atlanta to encourage college students to become allies against hate.
It’s the central mission behind the Blue Square Alliance Against Hate.
A “Unity Dinner” was held at Clark Atlanta University, bringing together students from the Black and Jewish communities who attend area HBCUs and other local colleges and universities.
“Give young people a chance, not to confront one another, but to get to know one, and if we do that, maybe we can do better,” shared Dr. Michael Lomax, President of the United Negro College Fund.
The dinner featured various groups, each with discussion cards and questions to promote fellowship.
