A senior teacher involved in SIR-related work in Jaipur died by suicide on Monday after jumping in front of a train at the Bindayaka railway crossing. The 48-year-old teacher, identified as Mukesh Jangid, had written in a note recovered from his pocket that he was under pressure from a supervisor over official tasks linked to the SIR.
Police said Jangid left home around 4.30 am on his motorcycle, reportedly for work, and later went to the Bindayaka crossing where he ended his life. Bindayaka Station House Officer Vinod Verma said the incident came to light soon after, and an investigation is underway.
