One of the three Amur falcons, who were tagged by wildlife scientists, flew from India and reached Somalia, completing a migratory journey spanning 5000 kilometres in just over five days with a marathon flight of nearly 1000 kilometres per day.

Apapang, an adult male, Alang, a young female, and Ahu, an adult female, were on a journey, flying across the Arabian Sea to reach Africa, showcasing their relentless nature and long-distance flying skills.

Supriya Sahu, the additional chief secretary of Tamil Nadu's Environment Climate Change & Forests department, took to social media platform X to announce the feat and noted that Apapang has made this expansive oceanic trip multiple times before this recent one.
