Firefighters spent part of the evening Monday battling a fire at a Montgomery restaurant.

Firefighters were called to the Simply Southern Cafe in the 3400 block of McGehee Road. The restaurant is located across the street from LAMP High School.

Action 8 News was on the scene as fire was coming from the roof.

We are waiting on official information from Montgomery Fire Rescue. Once we get it, we’ll be sure to pass it along.
