PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Sheriff’s deputies in Putnam County said a speed enforcement effort to get drivers to slow down on certain roads where they patrol has been a success.
In just two weeks’ time, they’ve stopped more than 110 drivers – giving out warnings and issuing tickets on roads like Cow Creek and Mount Vernon.
Deputies said they’ll still be out patrolling in the coming weeks, moving to areas like Scott Depot Road and Hurricane Creek Road.
