MASON COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) - Two men are facing charges after Kentucky State Police said they allegedly pointed a laser at a KSP helicopter several times and shot at it.
The incident happened Nov. 3 in the Mayslick area in Mason County, Kentucky, as the KSP helicopter was helping find a lost child in Robertson County.
Troopers said the flight officer suffered a possible injury to his eyes due to the laser exposure. As a result, Jason McKee is facing two charges of wanton endangerment, and Donald Boone is charged with one count of the same.
Investigators said the case has been referred to the FBI for them to consider additional charges.
