FLUVANNA COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The 5th annual In the Name of Shod Turkey Giveaway — where community organizers give out 400 turkeys, plus hot meals from two food trucks, canned goods, clothing, baby supplies and more — will be at Fluvanna County High School on Saturday.
"It's just so nice to be able to stock people's pantries. It's not just for this one meal. They're able to put things in their pantry that are going to be able to stock them for several meals. We don't just say, 'Hey, you can have two cans of this.' Or two cans of that. It's here's a paper bag and you're going to be putting fresh stuff into. Here's fresh potatoes, here's fresh onions, here's fresh, you know, carrots to put in there. Here's five cans of this, here's five cans of that and it's amazing," said Denise Tar
