BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Neighbors living along Summa Avenue in Baton Rouge say late-night construction tied to a new hotel development has left them exhausted, stressed, and searching for answers.
Athena Hospitality Group is building a Hampton Inn & Suites on Summa Avenue near Essen Lane, but nearby residents say the project has brought weeks of noise stretching well past midnight and sometimes into the early morning hours.
Brandon Garrett, who lives directly next to the site, said the late-night work is shaking his home and disrupting his family’s ability to sleep.
“I just want my peace. That’s all I want,” Garrett said.
