Srinagar: Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Tuesday launched coordinated raids at multiple locations across the Kashmir Valley as part of a case targeting individuals allegedly involved in terrorism, glorifying terrorists, and radicalising youth for recruitment into militant ranks, official sources said.
The searches, backed by warrants issued by a competent court, were carried out in Srinagar, Anantnag and Kulgam, sources told the news agency.
Officials said the operation forms part of an intensified crackdown on networks that promote extremist ideology and facilitate recruitment into terrorist groups. They clarified that the ongoing searches are not connected to the recently exposed “white-collar” terror module or the Delhi blast case.
