AVH announces preferred CEO candidate

The Aspen Valley Health Board of Directors announced Monday that it has identified Dr. Richard Becker as its preferred choice to become the health system’s next chief executive officer.

The decision follows interviews with four finalists announced Nov. 10. State law bars the board from extending a formal offer until 14 days after finalists are publicly named.

According to his LinkedIn page, Becker is system executive in residence at Northwell Health and is the founder and CEO of Fusion Health Partners, a New York-based firm that started in 2015.

He previously was chief medical officer for Electronic Caregiver, a digital-health technology company, and he served as CEO of the Physician Affiliate Group of New York, a 3,500-member physician organizatio
