There will be music, there will be lights and both warm comfort foods and holiday cheer all around.
The 64th annual Light Up Night kicks off the holiday season Downtown on Friday night with a different look and location.
With renovations in Market Square due to be completed in April, the Holiday Market’s chalet-style booths and its vendors selling Christmas gifts will be set up in The Cultural District at Seventh Street and Penn Avenue at Agnes R. Katz Plaza, the Benedum Center lot and the Cultural Trust Oasis. It will open at 11 a.m. Friday and remain open daily through Christmas Eve.
Light Up Night festivities will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday with the live music, food vendors, holiday lights blinking to life and more. The festivities will climax with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
