A cold weather alert has been put in place for Cambridgeshire . The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued a yellow cold health alert for much of the country. An amber cold health alert has been issued for the Yorkshire & Humber, North West and North East regions of England.

The alert started at midday on Monday (November 17) and is set to be in place until 2pm on Saturday (November 22). Dr Agostinho Sousa, head of extreme events and health protection at UKHSA said: “This is the first prolonged cold spell of the season, and it is therefore vital to check in on friends, family and neighbours that are most vulnerable.
