Amid the ongoing movement demanding statehood for Ladakh and its inclusion in the Sixth Schedule, the Leh Apex Body (LAB) on Monday submitted a 29-page draft to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The document includes the demand for general amnesty for those arrested after the violence and the release of activist Sonam Wangchuk. A general amnesty is a government act of pardoning a large group of people who have committed specific offenses, often political ones.
