Maharashtra has a government of BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) and Ajit Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party

The Mahayuti government held its weekly cabinet meeting on Tuesday, ahead of the pcoming municipal elections in Maharashtra, but to everyone's surprise, Shiv Sena ministers were absent.

This absence has stirred political chatter in the state. Only Shiv Sena chief and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde attended the meeting at the Secretariat.

According to sources, the Shiv Sena wanted to signal its displeasure to ally BJP over the induction of Shiv Sena workers and leaders into the BJP’s ranks. Recent instances of Shiv Sena leaders joining the BJP in the Kalyan–Dombivli region are believed to be the main trigger.
