CEO of Pittsburgh International Airport Christina Cassotis led a celebratory countdown of the official switchover to the new $1.7 billion terminal.

Pittsburgh's Action News 4 has been your source for information on the new terminal since construction was announced. Reporter Sheldon Ingram gave a look at the last day for the airport on Monday.

As travelers strolled through the current terminal for the last time, they said they would cherish some of its unique features.

"My daughter told me today, before I leave, film the clickity clack [from the floor]," Julie Moss said while on her way to her departing gate.
