The federal trial for a former Loveland police officer accused of sexually assaulting a teen while on duty began Nov. 17.

The former officer also has been charged with multiple felonies, including kidnapping and sexual assault, in district court. That case is being prosecuted in the 8th Judicial District.

The federal trial is set to continue through Nov. 25.

DENVER — The federal jury trial for a former Loveland Police Department officer accused of sexually assaulting a minor while on duty is underway.

Dylan Miller, now 30, was arrested in November 2023 after a teen and her family reported to police that an on-duty Loveland police officer sexually assaulted her at a Loveland park in late July.

The teen told police the officer approached her and a friend at North Lake Park near Loveland
