Honda has recalled thousands of its hybrid Accords because the vehicle can lose drive power.

Included in the recall are 256,603 Honda Accord hybrids model years 2023 through 2025.

“Due to a software error, the integrated control module central processing unit may reset while driving, causing a loss of drive power,” Honda said in documents filed with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Dealers will reprogram the integrated control module central processing unit software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on Jan. 5, 2026. Owners can contact Honda’s customer service at 888-234-2138. Honda’s number for this recall is TN2. Vehicle Identification Numbers involved in this recall will be searchable at NHTSA.gov beginning Nov. 18, 2025.
