A fast-moving weather system is expected to bring rain to central Pennsylvania later today.

The precipitation is expected to begin this afternoon and become steadier during the evening before stopping early Wednesday.

For areas along and north of I-80, particularly in east-central Pennsylvania, rain may mix with or change to wet snow overnight. While accumulations will be minor, drivers should be alert for possible slick spots.

In the Harrisburg area, Wednesday and Thursday will be mainly dry but cloudy, with high temperatures around 50. Thursday night will be notably milder, with lows of 35 to 45 degrees, about 10 to 15 degrees above mid-November climate averages.

Rain is likely to return Friday before conditions dry out Sunday-Monday.
