A Flagstaff couple filed a civil lawsuit in federal court Wednesday, Nov. 12, alleging that infant formula manufactured and sold by the company ByHeart Inc. was responsible for their newborn daughter developing botulism.

There have been 23 documented cases of infant botulism across the United States likely linked to the formula, according to the Centers for Disease Control , including three cases in Arizona.
