CROMWELL, CT (WFSB) - Cromwell police said they cornered a wanted man in a parking lot where he caused extensive damage with a truck.

They identified the man as 43-year-old David Dasilva of Cromwell.

They said they tried to stop the 2006 Kenworth truck he drove on Nov. 15 because he had a felony warrant out for his arrest.

However, they said he failed to pull over.

Dasilva drove into the parking lot.

Officers said they tried to remove him from the vehicle, but he erratically drove through the lot in an effort to escape.

Police said Dasilva drove at them and caused extensive damage to the lot.

They eventually disabled the vehicle and took him into custody.
