What to know about the Epstein files House vote
The House will vote Tuesday on a bill to require the Justice Department to release its files related to the investigation of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The vote is expected this afternoon.
All Democrats and four Republicans forced a vote on the issue after GOP leaders dragged out the process for months. The issue has disrupted committee meetings, stalled floor action on other legislation since this summer and caused President Trump to lash out against Republicans who pushed for the files to be released.
Mr. Trump suddenly dropped his opposition Sunday amid growing GOP support for the bill, telling House Republicans they should vote to release the Epstein files "because we have nothing to hide."
