FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified the person who was killed in a house fire last week as a 77-year-old Fort Wayne man.

The Fort Wayne Fire Department (FWFD) says the fire happened around 1:30 a.m. on November 11 in the 3000 block of Reed Street. Responding crews rescued one person from the home, who later died from their injuries.

On Tuesday, the coroner’s office identified the victim as 77-year-old Willie L. Williams of Fort Wayne. His manner of death was ruled an accident.

FWFD previously ruled the fire was accidental in nature.
