Parts of Iowa saw roughly half an inch of rainfall and some scattered thunderstorms to start the week.
Northern and northwestern Iowa had the highest rainfall totals, with the most rain falling in parts of the state still experiencing abnormally dry weather, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor.

Des Moines saw just 0.12 inches of rainfall as of 8 a.m. Nov. 18. The capital saw all of that precipitation from Monday evening to the early hours of Tuesday.
Going north, Ankeny saw even less rain, only amounting to 0.07 inches.
