The Des Moines International Airport will gain several new flight routes beginning in the spring of 2026.

Allegiant Air will offer two new nonstop routes to Philadelphia and Burbank, California. The addition of these two flights comes after American Airlines reintroduced a nonstop flight to Philadelphia International Airport in June 2025 after a nearly five-year hiatus and launched a route with daily service to Los Angeles International Airport , which began in October.
