The Chatterjee Group may consider taking up commercial production of indigenous sodium-ion batteries, focusing on manufacturing the cells, the battery’s core component.

Notably, scientists at the Research Institute for Sustainable Energy (RISE) under TCG-CREST, set up by the Purnendu Chatterjee-led Group, have recently developed an indigenous sodium-ion (Na-ion) high-speed charging battery.
