Final approval: Rezoning requests for multifamily development
Council voted 4-3 to approve a pair of rezoning requests for 25.8 acres at Fork Shoals and Ashmore Bridge roads and 7.2 acres at 1330 Fork Shoals Road.
These properties will be used to develop Cottage Green, a multifamily community consisting of up to 527 residential units, including cottages, duplexes and garden-style apartments.
Initial approval: Accessory dwelling unit ordinance amendment
Council approved an amendment to the city’s accessory dwelling unit ordinance.
If approved, accessory dwelling units will be allowed in all the city’s residential zoning districts, including the R-20, R-15 and R-12 districts where they are currently prohibited.
