A suspect was shot in a Port Angeles Police Department (PAPD) officer-involved shooting, KIRO 7 reported Monday.

The suspect, who has a warrant from the U.S. Marshals Service, was shot during a chase with law enforcement.

Authorities were trying to arrest the suspect when they ran off, PAPD Deputy Chief Jason Viada told KIRO 7.

The suspect had what appeared to be a gun, and after “another series of events,” the shooting occurred, Viada said.
