BIG HORN COUNTY, Mont. – A crash occurred on I-90 Eastbound near mile marker 484 close to Hardin on November 17, according to a report from the Montana Highway Patrol.
The crash involved two vehicles and resulted in the death of a 63-year-old man from Billings. Trooper Roberto Erekson provided details of the incident.
The Billings man was driving a Mercedes E320 westbound in the eastbound lanes when the vehicle sideswiped a Peterbilt CMV driven by a 63-year-old man from Hillsborough, North Carolina. The Mercedes impacted the trailer's axle, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Peterbilt was not injured in the crash.
Authorities suspect alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
