A Midland healthcare assistant has admitted neglect after a patient died at a mental health hospital.
Sylvia Quaye-Mensah changed her plea on what would have been the first day of her trial today, Tuesday, November 18.
The 42-year-old pleaded guilty to ill-treatment or neglect by a care worker 'by failing to undertake required observations' of Louise Furlong.
Ms Furlong, 19, died at Highbury Hospital in Nottingham on September 12, 2022 the day after an undisclosed incident happened.

Quaye-Mensah stood in the dock at Nottingham Crown Court wearing a grey zipped jacket over a black top.
She was told she would be sentenced on March 2 next year.
