Burglars raided a Birmingham home, threatened the occupiers and then stole ‘all the gold and jewellery’.

Police are investigating after three burglars are said to have broken into a home in Orchard Road in Erdington last Sunday (November 16) at around 7.30pm

They then 'threatened two people inside the home, before stealing cash and valuables and then fleeing in a suspected stolen car'.

Details of the terrifying house raid have been posted online, but have not yet been verified by BirminghamLive.

The online post claims a ‘family was held hostage’ while the raiders stole ‘all the gold and valuables’ from the property.

The burglars are then said to have ‘cleaned the house with bleach’ before making their escape in a ‘black Audi’.
