NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The sex offender accused of attacking a woman in an apartment complex elevator after following her home from a Nashville concert is undergoing a mental evaluation.

Joequarius Williams, 29, is undergoing a court-mandated mental evaluation after the Metro Nashville Police Department arrested him and connected him to an attack involving a woman who was followed home from a Sabrina Carpenter concert earlier in November.

Williams did not appear at his Tuesday morning court date as he continues to undergo the mental evaluation.
