LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Metro Louisville’s Park Ranger is paying off. Mayor Craig Greenberg, D-Louisville, and Louisville Parks and Recreation said in a release several arrests have been made involving vandalism and theft at area parks.

At Eva Bandman Park on River Road, a vehicle caused approximately $3,000 damage after doing “burnouts” in an open field. The damage happened on Oct. 28 and an investigation by James Brown, the chief park ranger, led to the identification of a juvenile suspect, who was cited for criminal mischief.

On Nov. 2 and 3, Fern Creek Park was targeted by a vandal who was seen doing burnouts and damaging park grounds. Once again, an investigation by Chief Brown led to the identification of an adult suspect who was arrested. The vandalism caused $5,000 in property dama
