SEATTLE — As part of the Professional Women’s Hockey League’s (PWHL) newly-announced broadcast schedule , KING 5 will carry six of Seattle Torrent’s games this season.
That includes the season opener in Vancouver on Friday, which will be broadcast on KONG and available to stream on KING 5+.
The PWHL said in a release that they were emphasizing reach and accessibility for fans as the newly expanded league enters the regular season.
“The PWHL’s broadcast strategy isn’t about exclusivity — it’s about accessibility,” said Amy Scheer, PWHL Executive Vice President of Business Operations.
All 30 PWHL Seattle games will be available over the air in the market. The games not airing on KONG will be carried on FOX 13+.
