MARTINSBURG — Hundreds packed into the heart of downtown Martinsburg on Friday night as Jordan & Hess unveiled its highly anticipated holiday-decorated windows, marking the 22nd year of what has become one of Martinsburg’s most cherished Christmas traditions.
Families crowded along the sidewalk outside the historic shop as South Middle School’s South Spirit performers opened the evening with carols, followed by a jazz routine from the Extreme Dance competition team. The event is usually regarded as the unofficial kickoff to the holiday season in Martinsburg, with the rest of the city following suit in putting up Christmas decorations.
