The Mets’ main concern this offseason is to address their rotation , and they will certainly be aggressive in pursuing starting pitching.
But their overhaul may also include offloading some current players.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan , right-hander Kodai Senga is “extremely available.”
“Multiple executives expect him to be traded this winter,” Passan reported on Tuesday.
Senga has two years remaining on his five-year, $75 million contract, but injuries have marked his last couple of seasons, keeping him from reaching the potential the Mets were looking for.
Senga was impressive in his rookie year in 2023, posting a 2.98 ERA and earning an All-Star selection.
